| Interim fire chief appointed for Fond du Lac Wed, 30 Jul 2008 16:06:00 CST The Fond du Lac Police and Fire Commission on Wednesday named John Duffy to serve as interim fire chief. Duffy will replace Joe Clow no later than Sept. 1. Clow submitted his resignation in May. A 16-year veteran of the Fond du Lac Fire Department, Duffy was promoted to battalion chief in 2005, according to a City of Fond du Lac press release. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in fire science management from Southern Illinois University and an Associate Degree in fire protection from Fox Valley Technical College. The Police and Fire Commission has hired the Milwaukee-based Virchow, Krause Company to conduct a national search for a permanent fire chief to replace Clow. |
